Free indeed

John 8:36

36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be really free.

Hand in hand

When words fail to come ... as I have pen in hand

should I just put it aside ... and wait for a new day?

Is this then acceptable because I think I can’t

to give up opportunity ... instead of waiting for a way?

“Easier said than done” I think sitting here empty headed.

If I write all I see ... my page will be filled with blanks.

What is really wrong with that ... if somewhere I felt I had it?

What I should be ... resides in gratefulness and thanks.

“Lover of my life” ... walk hand in hand with me.

Show me the way ... that is expedient for You.

Help me understand ... that I am fully free.

In my death I offer ... my life to be fully Yours.

“Patience in my heart” ... lead me through the day.

Help me to suffer happily ... in Your deepest feelings.

Wisdom brings much grief ... but brings me down to pray

and in such to deliver me ... from all my wheeling-dealing.

Long-suffering embrace me ... with Your soothing balm.

Draw me into joyfulness ... that only You provide.

Help me hang my hat ... on Your understanding calm

and let me live Life fully ... even when I slide.
