forgiveness.
to forgive is to tame your temperament into quiet sobriety, to summon your character from the depth of wrath and to conquer your disposition and its self-righteous need to suffer. It is to rally them together and order them to release their white knuckled grip on yesterday. It is to free those hands to carve down your calcified pride and to till the soil beneath it is to cut a seed from your most tender parts to bring it forth as a garden and then to offer up its fruits with open hand.
