Forgiven

Location

It was over a year ago

Your smile still had that warm glow

And yours were the sweetest eyes

I have ever known

Till the day those eyes came to hate

We lost the sight of who's wrong or who's right

And when a kiss becomes a clenched fist

It was too late....

But I'm so in love with who you used to be

If we didn't lose I would have never found me

Never known me

And so we change, though some things never do

You never hit my face, just my soul

The scar still shows through

And we are forced to choose

Between what we are, what we can't see

Between the small of your back and between my clenched teeth....

But I'm so in love with who you used to be

If we didn't lose I would have never found me

Never known me

And when you go to tell yourself goodbye

Because we all know he has somehow died

Tell him for me

No regrets
