FORGIVE ME MOTHER

I look through your blood coated eyes
All I see are dark heavy painful ties
I see the groans of a mother who's bent on overcoming the "women are weaker vessels" cliche
I see the struggles of a mother to unlock the gates of a better and enabling niche
Forgive me mother if it looks like I'm leaving the track
Forgive me if I can't stay mild and let them trample on you like a piece of trash

I will walk through the thorny bushes and tread the darkest valley of life just to behold your lovely smiles
I will crawl through the hottest lake of fire and push down the gigantic walls of fear just to see shining sparks on your eyes
Forgive me if I can't sit and watch the rushing flow of your tears
Forgive me if I can't swallow my words and see you beclouded in fears
Just....forgive me for this mad love
This craziness I'm so engulfed
