Forest Girl

Brown tinted skin followed by a hypnotic glow

Her spirit effortlessly glides in the air

Waiting, to be seized by the erratic current

Finally united, with a body harvested from the Earth

Born shapeless, but fashioned by the heavy beatings of the rain

Rough surfaced, but smoothed by years of erosion

Complete, with angelic eyes and copious versatile gifts:

Simpleminded but still aware

Mute but has a reach more powerful than the virtuous wind

Observant but always the influencer

Timid but always willing

Bloodless but still warm

Detached but somehow a part of

Frail but still fighting

And solid but still comforting

As centuries went on

She transformed, body, mind and soul

Into a wise being

A seedling

One that was ready to take on the world once more

And to become one with the forest

The forest is lawless

The forest is within her

This girl is me.
