Forbidden Love

Forbidden Love

The flame dances

With such grace

Longing to be closer

To the curtain.

It sways

Teasingly

Barely grazing the tip

Of the lonely fire.

The window creeks open

As the wind flows through

Uniting the curtain

And the flame.

Their love ignites

With a warm comfort

That soon turns

To a burning sensation.

The love is gone

All that's  left is ash

Of a dance

Once remembered.
