Flowers

My eyes don’t doubt that you

exist as brightly as flowers.

Your petals touch my skin and

I can’t help but believe angelic,

as you exist in my sphere.

With one ounce of your scent, I am gone.

You bring upon me feelings

that I haven’t seen.

With your touch,

your lavender soft,

I go weak.

You know how you are,

you know that you are everyone’s favorite flower.

You are the rose I always prayed for,

but the sunflower I didn’t deserve.

Open my eyes and adore me awake;

for my heart lays asleep

and misused amongst all these

fraudulent flowers.

I’ll try to paint you in a field,

place you along with others

not nearly as alluring as you.

My flower, don’t you know how

you bloom so brightly in my life?

Don’t you notice,

that you’ve been doing this

the whole time?
