Flower Salad

Roses are red

Violets are blue

I'm staring into the sunset

Slowly facing the truth

Roses are red

Petals fly, torn away

Violets are blue

Paper cranes rest discarded

Just a lonely heart

On a lovely day

It's all a big party

Yet I can't celebrate

Staring at the roses

Smiling in their bouquets

Violets dance in the wind

Hanging out of pockets

Roses are red

Violets are blue-

Scattered into the air

Away they flew.
