I don’t wish to be a flower
Like other people do

You’re taken for granted
Propped up,
Shown off,
Thrown away.
Once the ones meant to be impressed
Are impressed
You’re forgotten.
After being so long neglected
Your petals droop,
And fall to the floor.
Suddenly you’re a nuisance.
But it’s not your fault.
They picked you;
Caused your death.
But you can’t do anything
You’re just a silly little flower.
Once you’re gone
You can be replaced,
By thousands of others silly flowers
Just like you.

Flowers are useless.
Used by all,
Valued by none.
