To Float Upon and Look Above
I float on my back
With an abundance of pale green water beneath
That darkens deeper and deeper
Into an unknown abyss of murk and life
My arms slightly tredding to keep myself afloat
The water is cool and its slow movements glide across my skin
My breath matches the pulse of the wake
And my pulse slows so that the rivers in my veins become calmer
My time out of the water seems non-existent
The stresses of the life expected to be lived
Seep from my pores and wring themselves out
And float away into obscurity
The sky is clear and blue, globing around
And I inhale the light from a soft sun in the morning rise
There is beauty in the water that lies beneath
And it is moments like these
Whether tis my bed, a feild of daisies, or a lake
That which I float upon and look above
I realize the magnificence of life
The winsomenes
The uncertainty
And that is beautiful
