the room spinning and the words don’t make sense

Thats what’s in my brothers head

because he’s Autistic.

and sometimes,

they said,

he’s going to feel like the world is exploding

and he won’t be able to handle it anymore

and then he will explode

the first time it happened there were tears

and hitting

fists flying

and screams

and I’m the only one who can slowly put his world back together

piece by piece

and stop the lights from flickering

and stop the room from spinning

and put him back on balance

so I lie awake at night and wonder

what these next few years will be like

when I’m go away- when I move on

who will stop the lights from flickering?

and the room from spinning?

and put him back on balance?

because right now

I’m the only one he has
