Flesh is flesh

Ecclesiastes 5:7

Just as there is futility in many dreams,
so also in many words.
Therefore, fear God!

Crying time

Past habits from the dreams of yesterday

Form tomorrow’s fears in hidden thought

Flesh as flesh now somewhere has to pay

and take in sorrow from last battles fought

Escape into habits that ruled in days past

Reach the familiar that so very long ago

Baggage now a burden moves it real fast

with the familiar like you’ve always known

Finding a posture that makes all acceptable

Driving home towards an uncertain point

All lining out the “if’s”, the ones not predictable

Accepting the clone that makes others join
