The Flaws Behind the Filters

Sun, 02/15/2015 - 22:31 -- rlabz13

On Facebook, Twitter and Instagram,

You'll find flashy photos from filtered cams.

Profiles that tell only half the story,

Acclaiming lives

That have no glory.

Captioned with words that sound so sweet,

But Reality clamors a different beat.

Because without the filters we are flawed.

Not perfect, or faultless;

We are far from gods.

With filters we are flawless, unblemished, immaculate things,

But without them we are angels

With broken wings.
