The stars shine as the plane takes off

Children are put to bed by a loving hand

He climbs higher until he sees over the clouds

Counting sheep as the minutes go by

Finally sees what he's aiming for

Dozing off, warm and happy

Takes the shot and the enemy goes down

Wonders where daddy is, since it is kind of dark

Turns around and heads back home

His smile plays in my mind

Her smile plays in my mind

Mommy creeps in and snuggles up to me

Plane touches down in silence

She holds my hand tight and curls up, head in my hair

Step off the plane and start to drive

Falls asleep in the dark, with mommy nearby

Climbs in to bed with child and wife

Imagines a world filled with love

My family is here, and we are safe.

Curls up together and sleeps in peace
