Fixers

It's funny

They say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder

Many times I was the eye and the beholder

As I got older I felt like I had to fix the mistakes that were on me

I was struggling to be true

True to who?

Me?

The real me?

The one without the make-up?

Cover up?

Thinking it will make me look as good as the others

Who are always showing up

Feeling like they look to good unlike the others

So girls like me feel like there is no reason to be here

Sick and tired of the cover up

What the hands can't feel

What the eyes can't  see

Lies I think

They're all prettier than me

But Khali got things that when appreciated by her and society

Will make her one of the most exquisite things

But it will mean nothing if she doesn't feel it

Really mean it when she says it

Filters

More like FIXERS

Help change the color I felt wasn't good enough for more fellas

Sad to say I got fellows who feel the same about their skin color and it show

So once again I say

It's funny they say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder

I am the eye and the beholder and to be honest looking back over my shoulder

And think what the other girls will think

When they come of age to look at them self and what they portray

You don't need a fixer or filter

No cover up

You need to believe you’re beautiful as your living and growing up
