Fishers of man or ...

John 21:3-6

Breakfast by the Sea

3 Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.”

They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. 4 But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. 5 Then Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?”

They answered Him, “No.” And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.

Mark 1:17

17 Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”

You’ve come a long way brother ... your life is a living sermon

Many folks are reading it and really are impressed

Go to church on Sunday and smile at the ones like you

Aren’t we having fun ... showing and looking our best?

You’re to be a fisher of man and you’ve got a minnow bucket

You could have been a preacher luring the souls of man

Now you are guessing ... what kind of bait to use

artificial flies or plugs or worms out of a can

Just a reminder why you are sitting here ... get with the program boy

You wasted enough time ... not getting to the serious stuff,

or otherwise get that pole again and waste your time a fishing

and throw back what you catch to show that you can fetch enough
