The first, the second and the third!
1st
The Boat
The Sea
The Land
Which of these three will let us meet once more?
Will it be on a faraway land hidden from sight?
Or on lions head we can shake hands with a tablecloth over our heads.
Will it be on a sunny day with palms in the sky.
Or a star filled sky?
Will it be on high seas with only the waves to keep us?
2nd
A fog lies in my head and fills my chest with smog
It pleads for me to run as sit on tin can in the sky.
My limbs tell we aren't meant for the skies.
The Boat, The Sea, The Land
Are where I need to be.
The sky is a boundary that I seek not to break.
The sky
The Wind are for those who rush forward,
Not for those who lie with their feet in the sand.
While I don't seek the sky - I reach for the rain
My feet dug into the dirt and my face to the clouds.
The sky is for those who seek sunrises and sunsets.
Whose world is viewed as future blues and sunlight.
While I long for misted cloudy daylight and spring rain.
Rain that's traveled leagues
The scent of the land released with every drop.
Rain has seen time pass and returned.
The air is peppered with salt and heat
The rain its tears.
3rd
There's rain in my blood
Ocean tides in my chest.
My hair ain't wind spun silk
But finger tangled sunburnt curls.
My skin warmed by a forgotten sun
Leeched by moonlight and snow.
Cheeks and eyes marking as alien.
Unknown.
Unknown compared to those around.
Unaligned to the world.
Narrow daggered eyes leading to mocking voices
Of those meant to defend.
Stuffed cheeks and shark locked jaws
There's dirt in my blood
Ocean tides in my stomach.
There's an ache in my throat
A scream in my heart.
Anger in my mind and melancholy in my eyes.
There are shadows under my lids
There's red streaked along my cheeks.
It's the life breathed in me.
Visable for all to see.
For I am the sea, the boat, the land in one.
