First days at school

Septembers a time that brings back memories of my first day at school,

That new infant school with all those little sinks and lines of little toilets and all really clean

and smelling of bleach "No sign of any stinks".

New friends and more to come,

It seems ages ago that i held on to my mum crying and saying i didnt want to be here,

Ive even forgot the time we go home and the time she said she'd come.

To make this day go so well the noise from 20 kids all talking at once

made the room walls swell.

A new teacher was being told by an older experienced one "Take no nonsence"

start as you mean to go on, Get to grips from now "day one".

The new teacher opened her first ever class room door tobe greated by noise of the

children   shouting and screaming, running amok!!!!!!!

"SILENCE NOW" she screamed at her new class "SHUT UP".

Silence came without any haste every child looked at thier teacher with fear on eack face.

"You had all better start as i mean to go on and pull your socks up"

I will not have this noise in my class room.

As she looked at her class all she could see was 20 little heads all bent down

and every child was pulling up ankle socks in silence but with a glee of pride,

This sight would stay in the new teachers heart long enough for  a moments  teardrop to

fall from her eye.
