The First Apocalypse

Location

The sky was a mix of new colors

On that day, that day that started the end.

It was akin a watercolor painting

On a canvas of chaos. That was the only

Beautiful part of this entire disaster.

Everyone was saying their last goodbyes.

Their faces were tear-streaked

And their bodies were shaking with terror.

Some were paralyized where they stood,

Their whole being consumed with fright.

Then there's a young girl

In her university years, but you see, this young girl

Is a little someting more:

She is a mom, and she is in desperate

Need for her kin,

To say Goodbye and tell him that

She loves him, that "mommy loves" him

She catches his silhouette and

Runs as fast as her feet alows her to go.

The adreneline allows her to weave in and out

Through the masses of people

And her heart beats so loud,

It shakes the earth.

She is 10 feet away,

Extends her arm.

Reaches her hand out and...

Nothing.

He is gone.

The world is no more.

And she is left with an empty feeling in her heart

As she wakes up from her biggest fear.
