The Firefighter

In the mist of a firey blaze

I can see the child through the haze

He's in his room near the rear

I call out "Have no fear"

With flames all around

I have to hit the ground

At last I reach him, his eyes are wide

These past few minutes the time has flyed

Now we're out, in clean fresh air

I have no time to rest, no time to spare

I run back in, the night is long

I'm a firefighter sturdy and strong
