Fire in my Heart

Tue, 04/30/2013 - 21:18 -- Kateira

Parting shot, those parting words that one day made me cry
Will only add in my spite for you until I say goodbye

Those arguments, the nasty slurs we yell and throw like fire
Burn the cords, and unleash the fury, increasing my desire

The voice that shakes and tears that fall will grow to be so steady
The hurtful jabs and fights we’ve had will sizzle till we’re ready

The fuel runs out, the fire dims, the remains like glowing embers
We meet again, to apologize for a fight neither one remembers

The rain has came, we live again like we never were apart
But all too soon the match is thrown, re-lighting the fire in my heart.
