Fire

Thu, 05/16/2019 - 20:50 -- MLem20

It burns through us all, every person on the planet.

It is a fast and fearless monster. Stopping the force of the creature seems impossible.

The only way for a victory is a vicious battle of wits; staying one move ahead as it turns everything in its path to ash and smoke. Everything, including you and all the things in your life that you love and cherish.

The creature will rip your life from the tight grip that you hold. In an instance, a second, the blink of an eye; the creature is gone. Or is it? Does it decide to smolder in a far corner?

The beast waits for you to drop the guard you have up to hide your emotions. The protection you thought you had from its heartless anger; an anger so savage that it does not wish to hear your screams.

The creature does not want to see you cry. It comes quickly and it leaves as sudden as it came. Was it forced to go away or was the creature done with its horrid mission?
