Life isn't as bad as it seems,

yes there are hardships and yes there is pain,

but why focus on the bad when there is so much good to gain?

We are breathing,

we get to see the sun shine and the stars glow

We get to feel the seasons pass and the rivers flow

This planet is an amazing place,

I would hate to see its awesome features go to waste

In the midst of sadness we should find happiness

You are alive, you are loved, and you are important

I don't know what you need to blossom,

but to me that is awesome.
