FIND YOURSELF

I look at you.

Not your body, but through your eyes

And into you

Your experiences leave me breathless.

I don’t know how to react to this

Every precise detail

But I will grow

And I will learn

And I will be stronger.

But in the meantime

I can only feel; I feel you

At a glance I see a stranger

But under your skin,

And deeper than blood,

You scream out what you have to give.

But I can’t hear

I can’t understand

I don’t know what you are

But I’m brave enough to figure out

In you, your heart is where mine is,

Your blood pulses to your life

And you are me for now
