Fighting For Canada

In the Petals scarlet beamed,

In the Center Black Night dreamed.

Through its Eye, silver shines.

Just like gold, one might find.

Through the rivers flowing fast,

Through the bodies where we last

Just like water trickling down,

Some of us stay never found.

Fights of bravery,

Fight for change.

Weapons drawn,

On this fateful day.

Silence around,

Time has stopped.

Mournful wailing,

Echoing off walls.

Women and men,

Fight side by side.

Charging on,

Where comrades died.

Their ghost still stay with us today,

On and on, trying to find their way.

Of ages past and time to come,

We shall remember those whose from.

Our great nation stands tall today,

Just because they made their way.

So salute once and for all,

Canada, let’s recall.
