Feed the Vets

We say we are strong.

We say we are brave,

but think of all lives

we couldn't save.

Think of all the money wasted,

on weapons,and violence

to fight other nations.

We believe its for peace and silence.

We stand with this corruption,

and pledge our allegence so blindly.

We forget the vets who served this country,

Whose lives were changed so untimely.

They sit in the streets begging,

for spare change or food.

They sit in the cold,

without warm clothes or shoes.

We sit and forget the good they have done.

While we sit with our families,

They sit in the rain with no one.

They are utterly alone.

What do we do?

We sit and do nothing.

What can we do?

Start loving!

Feed our vets.
