Fearsome Ice

Fear is like a sharp, icy bath,

One that freezes all pores,

As it slithers throughout numb veins,

Dismayed ears start to roar.

As it settles deep within us,

Fear unfurls it’s frigid hands,

Grasping and tearing at the soul,

All fear does is demands.

It wraps around a meaty heart,

Shorter breaths coming out too fast,

Fear goes quickly just like it came,

Now I know fear will never last.
