Fears

Hidden beneath the surface,

In shallow waters,

They hide.

Ready to surface

at a moment's notice.

The dark creeps out

Through cracks thin as silk.

They seep and bubble,

Fester at the corners of the mind.

They poison the soul,

Darkness in the heart.

Shadows in the brightest of lights.

They are there

And here.

They are anywhere

And everywhere

They are fears.
