Fearful & Fearless

Thu, 02/28/2019 - 16:56 -- broc6

There is nothing to fear but fear itself

And fear itself I do fear

If I look fear in the eye, will it know that it has won?

If I look away, will it sense that I am numb?

I have been afraid of fear my entire life

But still, I have looked it in the eye

To let it know that it was seen

And seen things cannot hide

They cannot hurt and they cannot survive

I have been afraid of fear my entire life

Perhaps that is why I am still alive
