Fear of Innocence

Location

A droplet of heaven scrapped off a cloud.

If only I could caress your pureness,

And your gentle way to remain unbowed,

Without changing myself into a mess.

If you tell me you love me or even

Hold me so passionately with your wing,

It would send me directly to heaven

If I did not fear how the end would sting.

Overall, I don't fear you hurting me

As much as I fear hearing your pained cries.

The only safe way is to let you free,

Where I won't taint your ways with the world's lies.

I will not allow my predatory ways

To willingly guide you into dark days.
