Fatalism and the argument against it

Some people believe in a celesital place

Where a jury of deities debate their case

Or where they're just pawns in a game of chess

For omnipotent nerds to see who's best

Or ants in a pile controlled by a queen

Where free will's illusion and choice a pipe dream

Well my benevolent god(s) would step back

And let life slide its way down its own track

Where we're just players on the stage: universe

Improvising our roles for better or worse

And whether we're sent to heaven or hell

T'will be nice knowing we did it ourselves
