Fatal Flaws

He was perfection's persona

but I fell in love with his flaws

With our Father's favour

and what little he saw

There was no place

for me at his side

'Cause of tainted wings

that forced me to hide

Everyone preferred

the Morning Star's light

but my heart ached

for his anger and pride

Everyone expected

his strength and his might

Not allowing him weakness

or a moment to cry

I wanted much more

and was willing to give

everithing I had

If only for him

Few ever saw me

less even cared

except in those moments

that both of us shared

But if I hadn't joined him

I don't I'd be spared

He, if nothing else,

never played fair

But he held my love

my heart, my hate

I gave him my all

and he determined my fate
