Fallen Angel

You casted me out like Lucifer,

A father—casting me out to die,

But I did not sin.

I could not fly.

Tongues whispered my name.

My heart began to pound.

You drowned in glorious fame,

While I was lost—not found.

Your lips drew out a vile sound,

Shared with awful intent.

To your words I was bound,

But for you I was heaven-sent.

Your ears bled and denied the sounds,

But you wouldn’t listen to me.

You hunted like a hound,

Couldn’t you leave this be?

You jumped the gun.

You were mad at my lack of consent.

That boy only wanted some fun

And I was not content.

Telling twisted truths with me on my knees,

Intruding in on my dreams,

Now I’m begging please!

Why can’t you hear the screams?

Suddenly you repent,

As I fall to my fate—it’s too late.

This was your expense,

No time to expiate.
