I am clumsy like a leaf.
I hit the ground with disbelief.
I was shaken by the wind
and couldn't get back up again.
The doctor said it was a tear
so a boot I'd have to wear.
No pumpkin patch, no raking leaves,
no volleyball for six weeks.
I have a limp and walk slow,
Like a leaf that slowly blows.
But like the spring I will renew
and my ankle will be good as new
