The elderly woman sits peacefully on the bench.
Her eyes are worn and gray and she sees no more.
People wonder why she stays around."She has no more worth."
If they only peered into those windows to the soul, they would see her golden spirit.
She has lived through depression, chaos, growth, and change.
She has seen love, excitement, happiness, and pain.
This woman has toured countries, and aided people in need.
This woman has been a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Her giving to life around her reaches heights higher than we can see.
But her eyes just cannot see anymore.
If they think she has no worth, they should think again.
Her life was worth it in the end.
Those faded, gray, weak eyes have seen it all.
It is those who do not understand, who have yet to see.
