Eyes Closed, Hearts Open

Saying goodnight to my someone

The only light being the stars in the velvet sky

To lead us in the dark

With our eyes closed, and hearts open.

The touch of soft velvet

Breathtaking, like that first leap

Taking us by the hand

With our eyes closed, and hearts open.

A hole in the covers

Veins begin to spill

Join us together

With our eyes closed, and hearts open.

Being lost at sea

Through gem-like eyes

Continuing our journey

With our eyes closed, and hearts open.

An eternal chain

The end, not visible

Grasping with white knuckles

With our eyes closed, and hearts open

Secrets straight from our lips

Hiding from the world

Just the two of us

With our eyes closed, and hearts open.
