Exposed

How do you shed layers at the risk of exposure to the elements?

When instead it is easier just to put on another jacket,

add another round of bricks to the wall,

become another ‘what if’.

How can you fly without the risk of overexposure to the sun?

By adding another layer of downing?

Which is lighter: a pound of bricks or a pound of feathers?

And when reality hits you are already falling back down to earth,

to your comfort zone,

to your castle where you lock yourself away.
