Expect

2 Corinthians 13:5

Put yourselves to the test to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves!

Or do you not recognize regarding yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you—

unless, indeed, you fail the test!

Expectations

It is not easy … but it should have been

to try to full-fill your expectations,

but like in a race … just one will win

and get a standing ovation

Should we live like … "hm, who cares?"

when we don't reach fulfilled dreams,

or would this make our life a snare

and denial a cup of sour cream

The dreams are to be sporadic now

and the goals reached just for sure

make mediocrity act like sublime somehow

and for that there is no cure

Who wins when expectations are reached

if you are the only one to know

and do you present the fullness teached

as your life in the main-stream flows?

Who notices the things you have done

and where does that need proceed?

To appear some better … than we’re known

but there is no end to that … in deed.

Or does … the need to be received

dominate the calls of life

and becomes the driving force … that beats

you senseless after a while?

Values then … change day to day.

Priorities rest on shaky ground.

Bungling up … like in a fog's array

surrounded by uncertain sounds.

You have reached your goal … Illusions there.

Strange! … Why is there no end in sight?

You are senseless now … beyond despair,

is that what you want in life?

I got an idea to set you free.

Shovel your expectations in a pile.

Just accept things as you ought to be

help people go … that extra mile

Help to full-fill their expectations

and do it with a heart of love.

You will remove all frustrations

with blessings from above.
