Evolution

As I sit on this pier I think of
All the nonsensical thoughts of the day
And how much of myself wastes away
So much of our time is confined in one space
No one was meant to stay in one place
I long to feel the waves carry me away
From the shores and cities
I don't belong to anymore
To feel the wind blow as I remain
Longing for it to never be the same
Sometimes I know I'm addicted to change
I crave it like a drug an endorphin release
Always needing something else to feel pleased
For if I was to be different I would have to yet again desire more alternation
