Esse Resolvendam
A poem should attract and hold
as a snake preying bold
Coiling
Holding 'till emotions are boiling
Grabbing, holding on harder
Pushing one's feelings there and farther
A poem should inspiration invoke
As God to create only spoke
A poem should suspend thought
But in that moment not
Moments then pass
Minutes and hours seem fast
Moments that are comparable to seasons
Remembrance forgoing treasons
A poem should suspend thought
But in that moment not
A poem should not watch time
But have time watch the poem's crime
For all the wasted thought
Or the thought that was not
For the answers all seek
So many waiting for many a week
A poem should not be decided
But considered
