Erasure Poem- The Pale Blue Dot.

light years from here

a gas giant

reminiscent of Earth;

our pale blue dot

our spaceship

soaring amongst the stars,

Has a brother

but that’s where the similarities end

the alien world's atmosphere is 260º C

Hot Jupiters, they call it.

An alien world with an Earth-like hue

An object that disappeared 63 Light years from here

one side is always illuminated

tidally locked

the other side is always dark.

It’s atmosphere is blue because of the silicate

Silicates start to condense at temperatures above 1300C

It rains glass. Sideways.

This is not the pale blue dot you’re looking for.
