An Equal Empowered

My body, my choice
Of actions, decisions
Unlimited by your med team
And legislative sessions.
The powerless empowered
By themselves and perhaps spite,
Claim life, liberty, and happiness,
As their godforsaken rights!
You call me heathen,
Heavin' stones, at least
Of these of heaven's own.
"Mere beasts", the sheep that you disown
For what?
For power, the privilege
To domineer the homeless
Imprisoned, the starving. Hear
The children you birthed
And now you fear as other.
We are here, and we will not go.
We will not cower and take your blows!
We will dance!
We will sing our joys from the roofs!
We will tell your children they are safe,
And unlike you, we will mean it
And ensure it.
For we act not out of fear, but love,
A love you fear, a fear you love,
For we take in the outsider
And we banish the outside.
It shuns privilege for equality,
Diversity and equity,
And inclusion in our home:
This earth, the whole of it,
Where all are welcome. Even you.
But your bigotry is not.
Your power here is nought.
Your privilege is *not* welcome here.
Leave it outside
And come join the feast
As *our* equal.
