Horrific...
Unreal…
Racist.
Why?
Why do we do this to the one’s we love?
The ones we know?
The ones we see everyday of our lives?
Why do we segregate them to such a derogatory word as the N-word.
What does it do for us?
What does it do for you?
Look around you,
at you friends, your peers, your unknowns.
How do you judge them?
Do you see their skin before their eyes?
There heritage before their souls?
Or maybe even their language...before their personalities….
Do you know you are a racist?
Judging with the eyes and not the heart…
Piercing their self-confidence like it was a helium balloon soaring to the atmosphere of “never give up, one day we will all be the same”
The moment you even thought the word
Black
N*****
Slave…
You call yourself an activist, an abolitionist, a person of a diverse mind,
but you can only kid yourself for so long.
“It’s only a word!”
NO!
No,
no….it’s so much more than a word.
It’s a symbol that condemned the lives of the many because they were of a darker complexion.
For centuries defining the “weaker breed”
“the Satan's child”
“the leftovers of God’s creations”
“the idiots”
“the impaired”
“the n*****s”
How could you claim that it is only word when you have never seen,
that side of the spectrum
Have you ever faced the prejudice that the innocent, the unnamed, the brutalized faced?
Until you have, you have no right.
No god given right to think that your hatred deserves to be recognized as a scar upon the world of the darker skin.
You can mold your cynic mind and the minds around you,
but the dark skin beauties of the world will hold together strong.
They will climb the walls of the racist imperfections and cruelty
They will live to see the day that they will be treated as equals
Because you and I both know very well
That in this day and age.
We are everything but,
