Envious Eyes

Location

Eyes of an everlasting sea-blue sky,

Greeting my own whenever we two meet

I notice them as life passes me by

Knowing our next union'll be bittersweet

And still those eyes haunt my eternal soul

For I think of thy sapphire orbs between

My yearning for them has taken its toll

A toll I love to hate and curse unseen

Cold hearted Fate which rules both night and day,

Explain to me the cause of my ag'ny

Their thought addicting, when sleeping I lay

To hate and love; it is the same to me

A life without them is a sum of fears

Yet I cannot have them; my eyes have tears
