Has anybody seen the news lately?
Perhaps you peruse articles online...
It doesn't matter. 
What I'm begining to realize, 
is that daily,
the entire planet,
is going absolutely crazy.

I have a business idea
and it's prime time to go corporate,
people are in line to buy,
pitchforks and torches.
An obligatory riot erupts,
and then war hits.
More kids,
look up to bombers,
than Jim Morrison.

Because if you want
to be a rock star,
you have to
rock hard,
in the back seat of a
local cop car.

So come on down
to Chase's Surplus Riot Supplies,
we've got the right size
for the little tykes and 
a quiet surprise for the
stealthy types.
Gas grenades, 
spray paint,
cans of mace,
you name it.
And if you're a pyro,
we've got flames. It
doesn't matter what
you're looking for. 
If you're upset with your government, 
this is the place for you.

On second thought.
Do I want to contribute?

All I see,
twenty-four-seven,
is violence.
It raises the question:

Is the money worth it?
Worth blood shed?
I think a lot of people are 
asking the same thing.
So much that,
we might muster our own movement.

Let's all calm down.
Maybe we can solve all our problems
if we have a rational discussion.
Maybe we can fix the broken governments
if we take it to a vote.
Maybe we can all be a little bit more friendly.

But this is wishful thinking, isn't it?
People are
power crazy,
money hungry,
and terrible.

But one of these days,
every dictator,
every devil,
and every dirtbag
is going to drop dead.
Because that's how life works.

So when they're gone-
What if the people that replace them,
have a little bit more compassion?
What if the people that inherit the thrones,
are inherently good?
What if we start right now?

Let's teach our kids to love.
Let's teach our kids to share.
Let's teach our kids to be human beings.

Maybe our days are dark,
but the future can be bright,
if we start,
raising our kids right.

Because as of right now,
I turn on the news,
and daily,
The Entire Planet is Going Crazy.
