The end ... so near

Luke 6:27-28 New English Translation (NET Bible)

27 “But I say to you who are listening: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

Now the day is near ... the world is in turmoil

Opinions clash constantly with one another

Wrong and right so muddled now seldom presented

As darkness and shadows roam while only a few bother

The trouble now appears relentlessly where it ought to be

Where it all started somewhere in the chosen part

Now for all to see hatred blooming like flowers

Nourished by the blood of the familiar outcast

The end of the beginning ... the few last days in the sight

Lines are drawn in the sand by fate and depravity

Generations now close to the end in their struggle to survive

As all soon will be out of control in chosen insanity

“Rest in peace”, now strapped on little children

Carved on vests of explosives these toddler’s final steps

Long live religious ugliness without any hindrance

Old men in love with blindness in secrets well kept

“Kill the murdering entities”, is now the battle cry

“Love your neighbor as yourself” an issue long forgotten

“Get all the gusto you can get” accept this word as guile

“You only live once” and then forever die for the “begotten”

Very true, sad, but exquisitely written. Your rhymes and wording are amazing.
