Empty Wishes

Why the heck does the world spin round

Everything’s turning so upside down

I can’t feel my energy no more

The sky is falling, I can’t hear a sound.

I’m trapped in the rhythm, but I think it’s fake

Life is the leaves, and I’m just the rake

And when nothing is left and nothing is no more

Life will go on, everything’s done for sake.

It will be the end of every sacrifice ever made

The first planted steps on the moon ever laid.

And once this all comes to a shocking little halt,

You’ll say pass the pepper, not the salt.

What is a hero, what does he do?

Does he abide by the book, and when the time comes, shoot?

Or is he the one with the blade of destiny

Clichéd out, like you’re overseas

Another ship sunk, a vessel underwater

Another dead son, another lost daughter,

The end of a game, the final quarter,

Football match reruns, while you’re tearin’ up an ink blotter.

It never matters anyway, what you’d always contemplated

Cause all that shit’s just reiterated

News, fanboys, media, papparazi,

What does it mean when you got a life like nicki?

Or you’re another brad pitt, another divorce,

Another lost power, it’ll run it’s course

And in the black shadows, the unwashed dishes,

All these castoff empty wishes.

I can’t even feel anything,

Trapped all up in a rubber ring

Fell through, never gonna be the thing,

All these broken, empty wishes

Why did I think I could ever soar,

What did I even do it for,

I’m bruised, beating down to the solid core,

All these broken, empty wishes

Since I made an empty wish, it’s been far too long

That’s pretty much the reason I wrote this song,

Cause in the end, it just feels so wrong,

But you feel like you’re on top of the world, a king kong.

But it’ll bite you in the neck, stab you in the back

You’ll be chillin, way too lax

To notice, and by then, it’ll be way too late

That’s the reason they call it fate.

But no more, this is my room, my place!

My greed to have, my wishes to take!

And no one will define what it means to make an empty wish,

Life’s an ocean, and I’m the fish.

And when you think you’re breaking the backboard like lebron

And you make an empty wish to see what you’ve become

It’s holding the truth like Eminem holds the mic,

Squeezing it to death, like another sike.

So please, I beg of you, don’t make an empty wish,

When you know the consequence, cause I’m stuck here in this ditch,

I’ve gone through the suffering and gone through the pain,

I have to wear a mask for it, I’ve become a Bane.

I can’t feel anything,

Trapped all up in a rubber ring

Fell through, never gonna be the thing,

All these broken, empty wishes

Why did I think I could ever soar,

What did I even do it for,

I’m bruised, beating down to the solid core,

All these broken, empty wishes

An empty wish is like a celebrity of the day and age,

Looks pretty on the outside, but inside is a rage,

A storm that feel the suffering and the pain

Of what the cruel world has done, it’s all in the name.

Judgement day has not yet finally come,

It’s always been there, always been from

The people of the many, the poor, the few,

When you see an empty wish, you know what to do.

Throw it aside, and do not even look!

It’s not how you judge the cover, it’s how you judge the book!

Sure, I’ve made some mistakes, but after all, I’m human,

But in all of us there will always be a crook.

One who just wants to see the world go and burn,

One who wants to see the tables turn

In our favor, life’s a poker game,

We all think we’ve got the hand, but we’re all the same.

Sure I’m not huge, I might be an Iverson allen,

Or what if I grew up to be another jimmy fallon?

But all these hopes and dreams, they’re fallen dreams,

Kinda like my belief that I can take the challenge.

But there is something called believing, conviction,

And this rap needs to understand that I am on a mission,

And if I will succeed, I will clean my niches,

It’s time for the job, rid of those empty wishes.

I can’t feel anything,

Trapped all up in a rubber ring

Fell through, never gonna be the thing,

All these broken, empty wishes

Why did I think I could ever soar,

What did I even do it for,

I’m bruised, beating down to the solid core,

All these broken, empty wishes
