Electron

It's like running on ice
Sliding headfirst into a wall
You look back on your lies
Wishing you never made them at all

Regret the remorse
Checking self-worth
Hoping for better times to come

Restrained
Hands tied behind your back
Welfare line to a panic attack

Beneath it all your stars will shine
Caress the fall, you'll be just fine
In this house the lights stay on
No matter how small you find the electron

This poem is about:
Me
My family
