America is racist

We all know it's true

No one can deny the tension

Between the red, the white, and the blue.

This past year a lot has changed

A new election came to an end

The new president promised a lot

And racism is his new trend.

Now I know what you are thinking, one more liberal complaining

Another passive aggressive media post added to the pile

But I want to move forward

Not live in denial.

I am in the group that is affected the most

A millennial woman about to enter the workforce

Not only a young woman about to enter into debt

But an African American who is upset.

President elect trump I have a proposition for you

With all the things you have said

and all the things you promise to do

I will give you a chance if you give me one too.
