We are all zebras

We all have something in common

Everyone is unique

With their own aches and abilities

Pain is a common side effect

But strength is a common trait

We cannot beat this

EDS is your sidekick

as well as your friend

We have to work around it

We find strength in numbers

and hope from people who care

Educate who we can

and make people more aware

EDS is a blessing as well as a gift

Some say it’s a curse

You have to take it in stride

Wonder why we can stretch in awkward ways

Why we are always bruised?

What are we hiding?

Are we being abused?

Yes is the answer

Abused by ourselves
